The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh. Location of this cabin filter: Under the hood. Tools: T20 Screw Driver
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- Open the hood and locate the cabin filter cover. It is in front of the windshield.
- Remove six screws securing the A/C housing.
- Pull up and out on the A/C housing to remove it from the vehicle.
- Remove the old filter from the A/C housing by unlocking three tabs securing the filter to the A/C housing and removing it form the A/C housing.
- Install your new cabin air filter by sliding in the bottom post on the filter into the A/C housing.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure. Close the hood and it’s done.
